Picture postcard perfect composition... shave a bit off the bottom to eliminate the roadway and there is a cityscape that screams "Merry Christmas".
No, I guess that I don't have Christmas out of my system yet. it took me so long to get into the spirtit that i just can't let it be.

Looking at this I can see why Michelle drools over domes... I think the tiers would make for excellent subjects.
The miniature in the foreground shifts the scale so that with a bit of imagination, one could almost believe the "real" scaled schloss to be the home of a Grimm giant.

James Welsh, my cousin, lives in Dresden. This week he went to Gerbstedt and took some cool photos of the city. This is one of my faves so far. I saw this and thought of Michelle... drooling. But then again, she is into duomos not doors right now.
I love the bittersweet creeping toward the door and its graceful lintel arch. I don't know if it was the exposure of the real color of the hardware but blue against orange with a bit of grunge... all it really needs is a bit of maximization with a little bit of augie when I get him finished.
